| The Helping Hand Fund was created by Rotarians from what is now the Wethersfield-Rocky Hill Rotary Club. That Club was founded in 1938 and serves the communities of Wethersfield and Rocky Hill, Connecticut, USA, through civic donations, volunteer initiatives and scholarship programs.
The Club is a chapter of Rotary International, an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary International was founded in 1905 in Chicago, Illinois. It is the world's first non-profit service organization. It has 1.2 million members working in over 30,100 clubs in more than 160 countries.
